Michael’s consulting practice primarily focuses on partnering closely with clients to establish practical and effective solutions to resolve their challenges. He will ensure the relevance and appropriateness of your ideas, build the right team and drive concepts through implementation.
Prior to joining MCP, Michael has served as superintendent, port captain and designated person for ISM code compliant Safety Management Systems. Recently Michael has worked on many notable projects including the deployment of biometrically facilitated passenger inspections with Customs and Border Protection; a complex federal case spanning 3 years involving the execution of a Department of Justice-issued Consent Decree; and delivering expert hearing testimony at the Washington State Senate Transportation Committee.
Michael is a graduate of Western Washington University’s, College of Business and Economics in Bellingham, WA where he majored in finance and business. He is a licensed Master (2nd Mate Unlimited Oceans / 1600 Master Oceans) with advanced certificate training in the following subject matter areas: incident command; crowd and crisis management; ships stablilty; ship and facility security; dynamic positioning; hydroacoustic positioning systems; et al.
